READ IT ALL UP® is a media production company founded by Carol Jacobs, Leanne French, and Laurie Ulster.
Among their accomplishments: launching the music channel FUSE, designing revenue-boosting digital strategy for A+E Networks and Nickelodeon, producing the first-ever official Star Trek aftershow, and developing/writing/producing scripted comedy series for AMC, PBS, and Showtime.
Since 2012, Read it All Up® has been devoted to promoting children’s literacy through an in-school pilot project and by creating edutainment videos that anchor nationwide programs for Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Vista Higher Learning.
SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT
Our current project is an animated children’s series: EX LIBRIS!
We are developing EX LIBRIS! to hook kids with an animated time travel adventure series and ignite their interest in reading through connection with diverse authors of children’s books. As members of mixed race families, we recognize the urgency of creating characters whose experience reflects that of our young viewers.
EX LIBRIS! grew from our passion for children’s literacy and belief that inspiration is real-life magic that springs from everyday experience—sometimes painful—to generate storytelling that connects us while “opening a window to new worlds.”

RIAU® IN SCHOOLS
RIAU brought its mission into schools and after-school programs with a literacy project that helps children discover the joy of reading through a taste experience. We launched a pilot program in 2012 at Philip’s Academy in Newark, NJ, whose EcoSpaces program won a visit from First Lady Michelle Obama.
